Lateral Learning

          A new beginning.  Lateral Learning now shifts and seeks to make a study of the Gemara, and how it learns the Av Mishna of חגיגה.  The opening sugia contains 27 lines of Gemara.  The learning on this first sugia opens with a blessing.

שמע קולנו ה’ אלהינו, חוס ורחם עלינו, וקבל ברחמים וברצון את תפלתנו, כי אל שומע תפלות ותחנונים אתה, ומלפניך מלכנו ריקם אל תשיבנו, חננו ועננו ושמע תפלתנו.  כי אתה שומע תפלת כל פה עמך ישראל ברחמים.  ברוך אתה ה’, שומע תפלה.

What explains the k’vanna of this blessing?  Israel pleads on behalf of our tuma Yatzir, who continually burns within our hearts.  HaShem save ourselves from the naked arrogance exposed by both Bil’aam and by

והנה איש מבני ישראל בא ויקרב אל אחיו את המדינית לעיני משה ולעיני כל עדת בני ישראל … מיכה ו:ח – הגיד לך אדם מה טוב ומה ה’ דורש ממך כי אם עשות משפט ואהבת חסד והצנע לכת עם אלהיך.  ושם איש ישראל המכה אשר הכה את המדינית זמרי בן סלוא נשיא בית אב לשמעני.

The period of the generations who abandoned the Cohen brit faith, Israel exposed the nakedness of our political anarchy and confusion in the times of the Judges.  This disgraceful history of the Jewish people compares to the vile repugnant arrogance of gay pride parades marching across Israeli cities and Jerusalem!  Where perverts confuse the liberal western notions of equality with the moral mandate to build the Cohen nation unto a tohor mensch moral people.   Specifically the Six Yom Tov, Israel who understand that a blessing requires learning what it means to call HaShem King; on the רגל the Cohen nation dedicates our hearts to lives – dedication most holy tohor morally righteous mensch Cohen people.  Then HaShem changes the curses made by Goyim, wherein they seek to expunge the Jewish people from off the face of the earth – unto great blessings whereby HaShem judges the Gods the Goyim worship and Israel trounces victorious over our enemies in times of war.  Why?  Because the Cohen nation seeks with great jealousy the terms of peace.  The terms of peace – we dedicate our lives to living through defined tohor middot of logic.  We equally reject the hysteria of tuma witchcraft.

This Mishna compares to the Av Mishna of חולין which teaches on the absolute tohor moral obligation for the Cohen nation to develop and build the dedication unto achieving ‘Master of the Good Name’ also known as ‘fear of heaven’.  When a man seeks to wed a woman, he dedicates to cause his children to inherit the family good name.  When people dedicate to HaShem their lives to achieve holiness: a good name, such people merit the trust which peace requires.  Western political none sense of Capitalism, or liberal democracies, or socialism, or communism or anarchism etcetera etcetera etcetera merits the respect Fags merit, especially when they publicly parade down streets, have no shame, demand that their pervert sexual distortions merit social equality, and proclaiming their hedonist assimilation unto Goyim customs and cultural abominations.  At such times the tefilla of שמע קולנו cries out for both the jealousy of פינחס together with his רמח – בגימטרייה, מספר האיברים בגוף האדם (248) – the sanctification of the positive commandments.

כמ.  הכל לאתויי מאי?  Fear of Heaven

         Fear of Heaven for ever separates the tohor mensch cohen people from the Goyim.  ח”ו that Israel merits, even worse – boasts the curse, that the face of HaShem has departed from living within our hearts, that HaShem lives within the heavens together with the Gods whom the Goyim worship.  The language of הכל strictly and only refers to people who possess the Oral Torah logic and can discern between tohor middot from tuma middot.  The “disputes” between Hillel and Shammai teach the משל\נמשל methods of logic.  Torah teach mussar spirituality applicable to all living generations, irregardless of the times wherein before HaShem man walks.

         After the De Gaulle betrayal of Israel prior to the June ’67 war, the U.S. support for Israel shifted, comparable to an earthquake.  In times of good relations the interests of the State Department’s polarity to the oil producing Arab States submerges under opposing forces and arguments based on several leading factors: the US need for stable allies; Israeli propaganda exploits itself for its democratic political institutions.  A sense of a shared Judeo-Christian religious traditions; Israel respects Xtianity, something on par with UN imperialist Resolutions!   And as a key market which displays and proves the superiority of products produced by the American defense industry.  This last strategic interest the US and Israel share a solid common foundation.

          Before the 6 Day War, almost all military equipment and aircraft, the French exported to Israel. The none threatening relationship which prevailed between Israel and France before De Gaulle quickly collapsed after this megalomaniac came to power.   French Foreign Policy now approaches open enmity towards Israel, and Paris likewise encourages Arab state hostility and rejection of Israel.   Gen. de Gaulle, following the June, 1967 Six-Day War, decreed an embargo on delivery of Mirages; Israel bought and paid 50 Mirages – more than a year before the outbreak of war.  Paris made an unethical about face and refused to deliver these products.  The Washington agreement to the sale of 50 F-4 Phantom jets, contributed to de Gaulle’s decision to impose an arms embargo upon Israel.

          Some speculate that De Gaulle concluded that the Phantom deal would strengthen Israel’s insistence to a negotiated peace treaty, based upon tactical terms and strategic preconditions – requirements for peace.  Most specifically that Arab and Muslim countries renounce their prewar 1948 intent to throw the Jews into the Sea.  French strategic interests demands that only a complete surrender of the Israeli frontiers, (France has experience in capitulation to the enemy) recaptured in the June, 1967 war.  That then and only then, would Arab countries renounce their ’48 war objectives of throwing the Jews into the Sea.  Gen. de Gaulle opposes Israeli interests to develop the recaptured frontiers, because that tilts the balance of power in the Middle East away from French domination.   France’s Middle East policy courts Arab countries to win oil franchises, in order to become less dependent on American and British oil companies. The Middle East supplies about one-third of France’s oil needs and France feels irked by the near monopoly enjoyed by American and British firms in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait and the Persian Gulf oil Shiekdoms.  French jealousy of the US and Britain has placed Paris strategic interests into a permanent pro Arab tilt.  The United States has replaced France as the dominant international player in Middle East politics and diplomacy.

          Nov. 27, 1967,  President Charles de Gaulle publicly described Jews as an “elite people, sure of themselves and domineering” and Israel as an expansionist state.   His description could equally apply to the times of Napoleon.  His jealousy and folly caused France to terminate its strong support with Israel.  Up to this point the United States had sometimes taken a fairly balanced attitude to the Middle East conflict.   De Gaulle, before the 6 Day War, urgently implored Israel not to attack.  He envisioned French troops as the savior of the Jewish state, something comparable to Napoleon’s formation of a Sanhedrin in 1807.   But Israel ignored his egotistical none sense and attacked on June 5th. As late as May 24, President De Gaulle warned Foreign Minister Abba Eban: “Don’t make war. You will be considered the aggressor by the world and by me. You will cause the Soviet Union to penetrate more deeply into the Middle East, and Israel will suffer the consequences. You will create a Balestinian nationalism, and you will never get rid of it.”[ Sheehan, The Arabs, Israelis, and Kissinger, p. 31].   On the day of Israel’s attack, France announced a total arms embargo on the Middle East. By that time, however, Israel was receiving its major weapons from the United States and the embargo had little effect.[ Ledwidge, De Gaulle, p. 331].         De Gaulle, 77, said France had been ready to guarantee Israel’s security and therefore the Jewish state should have acted with —
“strict moderation in her relations with her neighbors and in her territorial ambitions. This is all the more so since the lands initially recognized by the world powers as those of your state are considered
as their own property by the Arabs; that the latter, among whom Israel was settling, are for their part proud and respectable; that France feels an old and natural friendship for them, and that they, too, deserve
to develop despite all the obstacles placed in their way by nature, the serious and humiliating and backwardness they often suffered over centuries because of successive occupations and, finally, their own
disunity.  But I remain convinced that by ignoring the warning given in good time to your government by the French Government by taking possession of Jerusalem and of many Jordanian, Egyptian and Syrian
territories by force of arms, by exercising repression and expulsions there—which are the unavoidable consequences of an occupation which has all the aspects of annexation—by affirming to the world that
a settlement of the conflict could only be achieved on the basis of the conquests made and not on the condition that these be evacuated, Israel is overstepping the bounds of necessary moderation.”

          The 1993 Oslo interim agreement, that error of political judgment, it sought to established a framework for negotiating peace between the Israelis and Arab refugee terrorist leaderships.   After Oslo, the BLO declared themselves victorious.  Their terrorism had prevailed toward achieving a revolutionary objective – a Balestinian state.  The Oslo reactionary error envisioned, according to left wing foolishness, the establishment of a Balestinian interim self-government within the Israeli Frontier territories.  But, the jackal powers of Europe, their propaganda machine exalted Oslo as the restoration of De Gaulle’s bankrupt waterloo imperialism.  Oslo II created the Areas A, B and C in Samaria. The Balestinian Authority enjoyed limited powers of autonomy in the Areas A and B, as if Israel recognized the bogus power of UN Resolutions 242 and 338 to determine the borders of the Jewish state.   The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared the main object of the Interim Agreement ″to broaden Balestinian self-government in designated portions of Samaria by means of an elected self-governing authority [to] allow the Balestinians to conduct their own internal affairs, reduce points of friction between Israelis and Balestinians, and open a new era of cooperation and co-existence based on common interest, dignity and mutual respect. At the same time it protects Israel’s vital interests, and in particular its security interests, both with regard to external security as well as the personal security of its citizens in Samaria″.  The Israeli people soon awake from the left socialist reactionary dreams, and realized that Oslo had invited international intervention towards determination of the borders of the Jewish state together with its recaptured frontiers.  As for Balestinian respect for Jews, the racial slurs they teach their children would make a Nazi blush.

          Some Balestinians argue that the United States, due to its support for Israel, has a disproportionate and unfair commitment to the ‘peace process’.  The propaganda of this pretense, that Israel and Balestine share equality as nation states!   Peace, requires trust, and trust fundamentally needs verifiable preconditions; if a party to the peace violates the alliance preconditions, then the pre-alliance status quo returns to what existed before the establishment of that profaned peace/alliance.  Upon this essential foundation stands peace diplomacy specifically between Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq – the countries who attacked and invaded the Jewish state in the ’48 Independence War – that they renounce their rejection of the Jewish State in the Middle East.

US diplomacy stands upon a completely different set of fault lines.  A vital U.S. economic interest in the Middle East — oil.   Charges that the U.S. has in the past abandoned its regional allies, has damaged the good name of America to this day.  Radical shifts of policy toward Israel made by the Obozo Democrats vs. President Trump’s rejection of NeoCon swamp GOP – merits deep considerations.  The historically complicated U.S. relationships with Iran, Iraq, and the Gulf states revolves around oil — specifically, ensuring an adequate supply at reasonable costs.   To this day, U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, the US navy protects the eight narrow strategic choke points to assure the uninterrupted supply of oil.  Tankers transport through fixed maritime routes about half of the world’s oil production. The blockage, even temporary, of necessary oil supplies, subsequently produces substantial increases in total energy prices.

          Most of Western Europe’s oil comes from Middle Eastern nations (Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc.). However, Russia, the United States, Canada, China, and  Norway also produce and export a lot of oil.  The top three oil producers in Western Europe: Norway, the United Kingdom, and Denmark.   Western Europe produces more oil than does Eastern Europe. The North Sea functions as a primary oil supplier for Western Europe, while the Black Sea and the Caucasus export their oil to Eastern Europe.   Norway, the largest oil producer and exporter in Western Europe.  North African relies upon the Algerian oil reserves.  Europe has a very strong economic dependence upon oil imports.  Although Europe has some of the world’s largest oil producing countries, the majority of their oil comes from the Middle East   The Middle East dominates the world oil market. Cutting off the trade routes of oil from the Middle East would greatly damage Europe financially.  For example, during WW2, the Allied air war objective sought to cripple Germany’s manufacturing process and oil supply.  Therefore, a war with hostile Europe requires planning, how Israel could permanently cripple the European natural resources of  coal, water, oil, natural gas, and wood.

         The 1956 War wherein England and France made alliance with Israel, that political freak forgery of interests, came as a result of fears that Nasser’s nationalization of the Suez Canal would restrict or even control the Middle East oil supply to Europe.  Oil exists as a strategic European commodity; it will go to any extent to ensure its consistent supply.  Infrastructure and supply insecurity fundamentally shapes European policy decisions.  Contrast the US strategic needs: Canada exports huge quantities of oil to the US.   When a country depends on foreign sources of oil, it becomes somewhat beholden to the political agenda of the country supplying that oil.   Supply of oil from foreign sources essentially falls out of the control of the country importing that oil. Middle East oil has many complexities and prone to difficult interruption threats.  Oil represents the primary reason why the great powers of imperialism perennially invade the Middle East.  Oil exports exist as one of the primary foreign exchange profit resources of Russia.

          Porosity and permeability, two of the primary factors that control the movement and storage of fluids in rocks and sediments.  The exploitation of natural resources, such as groundwater and petroleum, depend on the properties of porosity and permeability.   The primary porosity of a sediment or rock consists of the spaces between the grains that make up that material. The more tightly packed the grains, the lower the porosity.  Permeability exists as a measure of the ease which fluids flow though porous rock, sediment, or soil. Just as with porosity, the packing, shape, and sorting of granular materials control their permeability. Fluids within the closed, isolated highly porous rocks, if the voids lack an interconnected quality, then access to attain its fluids becomes much more difficult.  The degree of interconnected pores, its known as ‘effective porosity’. Rocks such as pumice and shale can have high porosity, yet remain nearly impermeable due to the poorly interconnected voids. In contrast, well-sorted sandstone, the rounded sand grains provide ample, unrestricted void spaces which permit a well link flow from smaller grains. Consequently, sand stones of this type have both high porosity and high permeability.
