The next to last sugia of this Av Mishna מועד קטן learns from .דף ה to the middle of .דף ו. This sugia reaches the crescendo of the Torah work ethic mussar, the משל\נמשל learning discipline. This Av Mishna defines as the most necessary trait of tohor learning, the skills how to learn between the written words and lines. Ideas which communicate reality must contain depth. Comparison and contrast, a fundamental learning discipline, imparts depth to virtually all Talmudic legal analysis. Halacha, as previously stated, exists as a political discourse.
דתנן: מציינין את הקברות…וראה עצם אדם ובנה אצלו ציון.
No sign of the brit exists without remembrance of extreme heart felt bitterness and strong burning animosity. Jews bear direct responsibility for the g’lut anguish of the last two millennium. The Goyim servants of HaShem, their violence slander and murder fell upon us because of self hatred and Civil War. The feelings of mourning for the g’lut in general and the Shoah in particular requires that we as a people accept personal responsibility for the plight of oppression our people have endured. ברוך דיין אמת. Now HaShem has blessed us with our homeland once again. Conquering the homeland – an amazing miracle. But keeping and holding the homeland which HaShem swore to the inheritors of the Avot, the Cohen nation, requires tohor righteous justice from Common Law Courts – as a perpetual dedication, the holy korban act of faith. T’shuva most essentially requires the solemn dedication of tohor middot. The latter requires learning and the commitment to act upon this Torah learning.
Accepting responsibility for the horrors of g’lut, takes the edge off of harsh feelings toward the Goyim barbarians. Goyim compare to balls: just as a ball bounces — Goyim, specifically Europeans, engage in slander and violence against minority refugee populations living inside of Europe. For 2000 years Europeans called themselves ‘the new Israel’. Now the shoe has passed over to the other foot, and Europeans exist as religious refugee exiles who have no faith and no morality. European customs and cultures exists only as an empty shell; once feared and respected as first world powers, mighty international empires. England and France have gone the way of the Austro Hungarian empire and the 1000 year Reich. Their once glorious empires have crumbled unto dust. Jews as a people have witnessed the rise and fall of many great empires throughout history. Europeans today bear the name המון גוג.
The knowledge of knowing how to pray distinguishes whether the baali t’shuva either sanctifies or profanes the Name HaShem. The Din of the Torah stands upon blessing or curse. HaShem sits as the Judge of prayer. A blessing requires שם ומלך, what does this mean? Saying prayers by rote compares to painting a picture by the numbers. אל מלך נאמן justice weighs the actions taken by nations. Israel must not rejoice at the disgrace of our European enemies, because we all share in a common tuma Yatzir. Not the garments that separate the כהן גדול מן ההדיוט rather the former possessed the knowledge of how to davven with k’vanna and the latter, he studied the depths of this mitzva. אין מלך בישראל the mussar of this rebuke comes to teach the generations of Israel that learning how to pray requires more than saying words written in the Siddur.
What definitely separate a great leader from a common man? The great leader davvens for his house and people with k’vanna. The common man has never learned how to learn because he continually worries about his income and salary. The wealthy man blessed with Torah knowledge, he hires people to do work such that they do not need to worry about their ability to take care of the financial needs of his family. Therefore this common man now enjoys the luxury to make himself together with his family into a mensch. Hillel taught concerning men of wealth – when there are no men, strive to be a man. The mitzva of living life as a mensch, this mitzva draws others to also dedicate their lives to live the mensch dedication of heart and soul. Faith strives to cause ones’ family to inherit the mensch heart dedication.
תהלים נ: ושם דרך אראנובישע אלהם.
Hobbes’s political view point – emphasized the necessity for an absolute sovereign. He favored what amounts to as ‘the divine right of kings’, and called his book – the Leviathan. Compare Machiavelli, Hume, Madison, Montesquieu and others who favor the Republic idea. Machiavelli, like Hobbes held that public success and private morality existed on two entirely different and separate planes of reality.
Either a society promotes self management of affairs, or it accepts Socialist intrusions by the Big Brother welfare state. The Torah as a Constitutional document enshrines the mussar commanded by the prophets. The idea that morality constrains realpolitik – these famous Goyim political thinkers, they never perceived that morality has such power. The republic of Rousseau’s “Social Contract”, weighs the size and scale of political order. Huge Republics exist, the United States serves as witness. But this Southern commentator argues, the idea of establishing a Republic, occurs when small states forge a Confederacy. Hobbes’s Leviathan, written in 1651, effectively ignores the ideas of “size and scale”. His theory rejects the need for morality. Instead he prized that an elite few could seize the reigns of government; as the means to achieve their pursuit of power and prestige. It did not disturb the ‘morality’ of Hobbes in the least, that tyrants would seek to impose a police State dictatorship upon serf populations. In respect to territory and population, the extent of an empire: the reach of Leviathan sovereignty, terminates where the sovereign lacks the police power to impose his laws; where the people despise and revolt against his rule. The notion of Bush’s New World Order global rule, sprouts from the roots of Hobbes’s “Leviathan” political theory. Bush II, of 9/11 infamy, this war criminal exploited his false flag crisis, it gave him the excuse to subvert the Bill of Rights; during the hysteria of the moment, he sailed through Congress the ‘Patriot Act’, his lawyers legalized medieval barbarity: the torture of captured prisoners.
The rule of law, viewed from the Jewish perspective, most essentially entails the internalized kabbala of T’NaCH mussar – as expressed through the external medium of halachic mitzvot. Obviously for Europeans like Hume – they excluded morality in favor of power and glory. Moral government does not pursue empire. Rather it favors that people within the Brit Republic, together with trading partner allies, that this brit partnership should encourage the People to strive for the ‘moral righteous potential’. The Torah vision of human beings, they love their neighbors as themselves. People living in poverty and struggling to survive – they lack the resources to dedicate their lives to attain their moral potential – which defines the measure of tohor humanity.
Neither beasts nor barbarians throughout all times and history, ever develop moral consciousness. Mass murder has great merits if a State achieves colossal empires and huge cities. This latter idea sums up the lives and dreams of Stalin, Mao, and Hitler. The Nazi occult favored and promoted Arts and Science, on condition that they aroused Europeans to worship Gods and reject as foreign, “the Jew religion” of Xtianity, together with its church monotheist dogmatism.
Madison and the founding fathers of the revolutionary American republic favored small government – almost direct democracy. By contrast, the post Civil War damned Yankee victors rejected States Rights sovereignty in favor of the concentration of Independent authority – limited only to Washington. The American ‘manifest destiny’ strove to attain empire which went from the Atlantic to Pacific. Post Civil War, this ‘manifest destiny’ spread to Alaska, Hawaii, the Philippines, Guam, and Puerto Rico. The framers of the American revolution, ironicly fought the vast British empire. Though influenced by the Torah Tribal concept of Republic – the more essential Torah concept of wealth, these founders did not comprehend. The purpose of wealth, it obligates the rich to assist their neighbor brit allies; wealth liberates Man from the economic necessities straitjacket, it gives Man the freedom to pursue the mensch – moral righteous man – good name. The Torah משל\נמשל of wealth: the manna משל – the 40 years in the Wilderness – irregardless that that g’lut generation has no portion in the world to come. Fear of Heaven most essentially means building a good name and/or reputation. The נמשל of wealth, ones’ family and children after a man dies, they do not – as a right – inherit his wealth. But a good name – lives for eternity; it remains untarnished throughout generations. Who today names their children after Poop Pius XII? But the name Alexander remains a Jewish name, thousands of years after the passing of that great general.
The fantasy fiction popular among Goyim today – stories and movies about the lives of super heroes, the Force, and Harry Potter. The Reshonim scholars of the Middle Ages – what separates our rabbinic leaders from the Goyim princes and priests? Hopefully Jews choose to dedicate their lives toward achieving the moral mensch ideal. The history of our 2000 years European g’lut, confronted by crushing poverty, oppression and despair – life as a mensch defines the Jewish Moshiach dedication to live a life of super heroes. The Reshonim scholars stand upon the shoulders of T’NaCH and Talmudic giants: unto HaShem they dedicated and sanctified as holy – the mensch moral ideal. The Reshonim, built a good name that both inspires and serves as a model to Yeshiva students to this very moment. Morality shares nothing in common with the insane Jesus tuma complex – man without sin.
A man does not acquire wisdom by never making errors. The righteous man falls “seven times”, yet gets up from failure and elevates his life. Not because he achieved power and glory, but rather – perhaps motivated consequent to his falling short of vain pursuits – he clings to the moral life rather than chasing after fame and money. Herein defines the greatness of accomplishment which the Reshonim scholars cause the generations of Israel to inherit. A study of the Reshonim teaches ‘fear of heaven’. This most essential lesson of faith, the tuma avoda zara of Xtianity and Islam – as witnessed by pogroms and Shoah – have never learned. Small wonder that a growing fashion, popular among some Goyim today, they – elevate loss of respect and honor – and deny the Shoah. They justify tuma rhetoric propaganda, and therein expose nakedness of their racist moral cowardice. They condemn all Jewish generations as christ killers! Tuma avoda zara has no common denominator with tohor t’shuva.
Herein concludes the learning on this great sugia of our Av Mishna מועד קטן.
